Ayr Field Day - 17th August 2008, photo slideshow and video .... a real St Ives community event!

The townspeople of St Ives, Cornwall, came out in force to support Ayr Field Day 2008. Estimates suggest that over 1000 people visited the field during the course of the day. Despite forecasts of rain and gales Ayr Field managed to stay dry. Bash Street Theatre performed their new show 'The Station' to conclude the day - captivating young and old alike. As the field cleared at 5pm the rain and gales set in. A huge thanks goes out to all who made Ayr Field Day a great success in its third year!
