Ayr Field Community Group would like to thank all who provided prizes for the Ayr Field Day Raffle including:- Ocean Grill, Tregenna Castle Hotel, Wheal Sara Flowers, USE, Fabulous Kids, Double T, Harbour Bookshop, Harvey Brothers, Fat Willys Surf Shack, Off the Beaten Track, Prosurf, Woolworths, Fore Street Deli and many local individuals. We would also like to thank everyone who bought tickets. A grand total of £1,027.00 was raised for our cause.
A draft copy of the community plan for Ayr Field together with an exhibition of Ayr Field Day photographs and pictures by local children was on display in the foyer of St Ives Library from 1st to 12th August 2006. People came along and made comments on the improvement proposals. The Executive Committee of Cornwall County Council met to consider the Community Plan for Ayr Field on Tuesday 13th September. We will await to see if the wishes of the St Ives people to have use of the field as an open green space will proceed or not!
