Changes at Ayr Field in the Spring of 2008 included a new woodland tree area complete with establishing wildflowers. We rebuilt over 30 metres of Cornish hedging and created a new access ramp. Safety has been improved with the addition of a new fence and new gates that will be added in May 2008. The work was carried out with the support of over 60 volunteers. Along with those who helped were volunteers from St Ives 1st Scouts who gave their time to help clear rubbish from behind the Scout hut in April 2008.
