About Ayr Field Community Group

Ayr Field Community Group is a constituted voluntary group made up of St Ives residents. We started in 2005 as a campaigning group seeking to secure the use of Ayr Field as an open green space for the people of St Ives. We achieved our aim in 2006 and raised funds for field improvements in 2007.

At the start of 2008 we began the task of improving the field as set out in our community plan. A National Lottery Breathing Places Grant of just under £9000 will help improve the the biodiversity of the field. Other funds have been raised to improve the safety and accessibility of the field. We have also secured funding to design 3 gates for Ayr Field and engage with young people in St Ives.

We have achieved a great deal but we hope to do much more! Our management committee meet once a month to plan projects and we exchange ideas and emails or a regular basis. We are a friendly bunch and we invite you to join us.
